A single-vehicle Florida car accident killed one person in Fort Myers this week. The cause of the accident is thought to be medical in nature.
Patrick Crow, a 73-year-old resident of North Fort Myers, was driving his 2009 Pontiac west on Palm Beach Boulevard near where it intersects with Prospect Avenue.
Lee County Deputies, who were called to the scene of the crash at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, reported that Crow's vehicle had jumped the curb and crashed into a palm tree on the side of Palm Beach Boulevard.
The driver was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. While Lee County Deputies suggest that preliminary evidence shows that medical problems caused Crow to lose control of his vehicle, more details are not yet available.
Our sympathies go out to all of those affected by this Florida car accident.
