If you’ve been in an accident, a motor vehicle accident for instance, it is very important that you do call the police just because you do need to have it documented, that it actually happened, and how it happened. It’s also important to get the names and phone numbers of any potential witnesses to the accident. Oftentimes people come forward at the scene and they want to help and sometimes we forget to get their name and number that is very important. It is also important to somehow document any injury that you’re feeling. If the police ask you if anything hurts you, you must tell them.
