ClickOrlando reports that a driver who stole a vehicle has died after crashing the car into a utility pole and two homes on Sunday, June 13
According to a statement released by the Orlando Police Department, the 46-year- old male driver died in the accident that happened on Sunday, June 13, at approximately 12:20 p.m.
Police investigators are looking into what may have led up to the fatal crash. So far, they know that the victim’s license had been revoked and that the car had been reported stolen.
The Red Cross is offering assistance to the two residents who suffered severe damage to their homes.
One of the residents, a woman who was returning home after attending church, heard the first collision. Just before reaching her front doorstep, she saw the car crash into the side of her house and into her living room. She told reporters that she might have been killed if she had arrived just a few minutes earlier and sitting in her favorite chair.
Orlando authorities say that the incident is still currently under investigation at this time.
We hope the residents hurt in this crash recover as fully as possible and can receive compensation. Even though the car was stolen, uninsured motorist coverage may still be claimed if the car was insured.
