Fox Channel 35 Orlando reported recently that a driver was rescued from a crumpled vehicle after a horrific motor vehicle accident in Ocala, FL on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in which a tractor-trailer impacted a passenger sedan.
According to officials with the Ocala Fire Department, the incident took place on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 between 12:45 p.m. and 12:50 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) in the town of Ocala. Two vehicles were involved, a passenger sedan and an 18-wheeler commercial truck. The driver of the sedan was trapped in the sedan which was heavily damaged in the accident.
The driver was extracted within 16 minutes by work crews and transported to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported in the incident. No update has been made regarding the injured motorist, and the accident remains under investigation.
