According to a press release issued by officials with the Florida Highway Patrol and representatives from the Florida Department of Transportation, the incident took place on Monday, April 19, 2021 between 6:15 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) near Exit 79B and PGA Boulevard along Interstate 95 in West Palm Beach. Three lanes were closed, causing severe congestion throughout the area.
WFLA NBC Channel 8 On Your Side News reported that a woman has died of injuries suffered when she was hit by a car while crossing a St Petersburg street last week, days after her husband passed away from injuries he sustained in the same incident.
According to the St Petersburg Police Department, the incident happened on Friday, April 9, 2021 between 8:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Central Avenue and 21st Street. A married couple was crossing the street when they were hit by a pickup truck.
