WEAR ABC Channel 3 News reported recently that a motor vehicle accident occurred in Escambia County on the morning of Sunday, March 14, 2021 in which at least one motorist was left in critical condition and others injured.
According to officials with the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident took place between 9:40 a.m. and 9:50 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on the morning of Sunday, March 14, 2021 in the Seaglade neighborhood, southwest of Naval Air Station Pensacola at the intersection of Gulf Beach Highway and Nassau Street, and involved three cars, including a black Ford Mustang coupe and a white sport-utility vehicle (SUV).
For unknown reasons still under investigation, a Pensacola man, 22 years of age, crossed the center line of the roadway, clipped another car, and then struck yet another car head-on.The Pensacola man and the driver of the vehicle he hit head-on, a Pensacola man 27 years of age, were both medically transported to a local hospital, and one of the two remains in critical condition from the wounds he sustained in the accident, while the other is in serious condition.
Florida Highway Patrol representatives stated that the investigation into the accident is active and ongoing and that charges are currently pending.
