Click Orlando reports on a car accident in Volusia County that killed a man Sunday.
According to authorities, the accident occurred around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, when a driver was headed southbound on Interstate 95. He bumped a car in front of him, which caused minimal damage, but then swerved and hurtled into the median, striking multiple trees. The vehicle landed upside down in the water after overturning. The passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital.
This accident remains under investigation.
Channel 7 News Miami reports on a car wreck in Lighthouse Point that hospitalized four people Saturday afternoon after a car rolled over during a collision.
The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Lighthouse Point Police and Fire Rescue units responded to the scene near the intersection of NE 36th Street and North Federal Highway, where a Toyota Camry had collided with a convertible.
Paramedics transported victims to Broward Health North, although their medical conditions were not released to the press. Federal Highway was shut down between Northeast 39th and 44th Streets so that Lighthouse Point Police detectives could investigate and the cars could be towed from the scene.
