According to law enforcement officials with the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Sunday, December 27 in the Naples area, along Airport Pulling Road near the intersection of Airport Pulling Road and Progress Avenue. A man from Naples, 37 years of age, was driving north on Airport Pulling Road approaching the turn lane at the intersection with Progress Avenue when for unknown reasons still under investigation he veered off the roadway and into a traffic light pole.
