ClickOrlando Channel 6 News reported that an Orlando accident last week left two people in critical condition with injuries that were life-threatening.
The incident took place around 1:30 a.m Wednesday morning on the 1000 block of South Orange Avenue. According to officials from the Orlando Police Department, a vehicle was merging onto Orange Avenue and was struck by a second vehicle; the violent collision caused the vehicle to flip multiple times, and the two occupants of the vehicle had to be extricated by responders from the Orlando Fire Department. They were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
The incident shut down the roadway for the rest of the night as crews worked to clear the scene and investigate the incident, forcing morning commuters to detour to work as the roads stayed closed past 6 a.m.
