Patch reported recently that a motor vehicle accident in Temple Terrace, FL led to the death of a woman from Columbus, GA on Saturday after she crashed off the I-75 exit ramp at Fowler Avenue.
The incident occurred at 5:05 a.m. Saturday morning when a Columbus woman was driving north along the I-75 exit ramp leading to Fowler Avenue. For unknown reason still under investigation, she lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road, rotating and then entering the left shoulder where she collided with an embankment, forcing the car to overturn.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck, while her passenger, a Tampa woman 28 years of age, suffered from minor injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
The Villages News reported that two women were injured in The Villages recently after a motor vehicle collision. The incident happened just before 3 p.m. Saturday as they were headed west on County Road 466A. A man attempting to make a left turn onto Buena Vista Boulevard crossed in front of them, leading to a severe T-bone crash, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Both women were taken to Leesburg Regional Medical Center. A ticket is pending for the man who caused the accident.
