Space Coast Daily reported recently that a motorcyclist was fatally injured in a tragic incident along Interstate 95 on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 when he was run over by two vehicles after falling off his bike attempting to perform stunts.
According to a press release issued by officials with the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred between 7:25 a.m. and 7:35 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 along the northbound lanes of Interstate 95, near mile marker 208 and the Port St John Parkway. A man from Orlando, 31 years of age, was headed north on a 2015 Honda motorcycle, performing stunts on his bike. He stood up and raised his arms, holding them in an outward position; this caused him to lose control of his bike, and he was ejected from the vehicle and then run over by two other vehicles.
He was pronounced dead at the accident scene, while the two drivers that ran over him, a woman 19 years of age and a man 55 years of age, were uninjured.
The accident caused major delays in the area during morning rush hour as emergency crews processed and investigated the crash scene. The accident remains under an active and ongoing investigation.
