The Orlando Sentinel reported recently that a fatal crash near Yeehaw Junction in Osceola County on the morning of Monday. November 30 claimed three lives.
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a crash in southern Osceola County near the Yeehaw Junction area that involved a SUV and a pickup truck. The incident took place around 5:30 a.m. on Monday, November 30, when a woman from Royal Palm Beach, 21 years of age, was driving an SUV south on Kenansville Road. She crossed the centerline of the roadway for unknown reasons still under investigation and collided head-on with a pickup truck headed north on Kenansville Road, driven by an Okeechobee man 37 years of age, according to a spokesperson for the Florida Highway Patrol.
The SUV driver was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene of the accident, as did the pickup truck driver and his passenger, an Okeechobee man 34 years of age. Two other passengers in the pickup truck suffered serious injuries in the collision and were taken to Raulerson Hospital in nearby Okeechobee.
The accident remains under investigation by authorities. Names of the people involved and other specifics of the crash have not been released.
