PRODUCT LIABILITY IN TIRE BLOWOUT ACCIDENTS
Generally speaking, companies that manufacture consumer goods have a responsibility to create products that are reasonably safe for consumers to use. This also applies to companies that manufacture the tires that we use for our cars. If a tire manufacturer creates a product that is not reasonably safe and it causes an accident, the company may be held liable. A tire may be defective in the way that it is (1) marketed, (2) designed or (3) manufactured. A number of defective tires have lead to blowout accidents which may cause serious injury or even death. During a tire blowout (or tread separation) the inner tread and the steel belting section may separate due to not being chemically bonded properly. Any person injured in such an accident may have a right to file a products liability claim against the manufacturer of the tire.
Our staff a Chalik and Chalik were deeply saddened to learn about the tragic accident that killed Jessica Guevara and injured six children in this car accident. We extend our thoughts and prayers to her family and all of those that have been affected. The police should conduct a thorough investigation for the sake of all of those that have been affected. We also encourage everyone to donate to the GO FUND ME page that has been set up for the family.
