A single-vehicle Florida car accident that was caused by a defective tire resulted in the death of one person this weekend and the injury of another.
The accident happened Sunday morning on Interstate 75 in Lee County. The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that a Chevy Tracker suffered a tread separation on one of their tires near mile marker 119 on I-75.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, veering off the road and into a median which caused the car to roll over numerous times before coming to a stop. A female passenger was ejected and killed in the wreck.
The driver of the vehicle, a male, was seriously injured. The female passenger was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The Law Office of Chalik and Chalik would like to send our sympathies and condolences to all of those affected by this tragic accident.
