A fourteen-year-old girl was killed in a rollover car wreck this weekend in Orange County, Florida. The woman who caused the crash, her mother, was booked for drunk driving.
Melissa Johnson, 32, got drunk on Saturday night then got behind the wheel with her four children in the car. She then crashed and rolled over, killing her daughter and injuring herself and her three other children.
The hospital breathalyzer showed Johson had a BAC of .317, almost four times the legal limit. In addition, a police search showed that Johnson has never held or even applied for a driver's license in her life.
Johnson was booked on the charges of vehicular homicide, DUI manslaughter, three counts of DUI accident with injury, three counts of child neglect and driving without a license. She is being held without bail.
Our deepest sympathies go out to all of those involved in this seemingly-horrific and heart-breaking Florida accident.
