Man Arrested on DUI charges in Connection with the Accident that Killed a Hudson Resident in December

On Monday, August 15, 201, in New Port Richey, the police arrested a man on DUI charges in connection with a December 10, 2010 accident that killed Myrtle Knowles Sigmon, 72, of Hudson.

David Wilson Smith, of New Port Richey, was arrested on charges of DUI-manslaughter and DUI-causing personal injury. He had a blood alcohol content level of 0.10 percent.

The accident occurred in the 7100 block of U.S. 19, south of Avery Road, where the two vehicles collided.
