A tragic Florida car accident claimed the lives of a father, mother and unborn baby last week in Paisley, FL.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 21-year-old Walter Perkins, Jr. was driving a 2000 Ford Focus in Paisley after 9 p.m. on Friday when he lost control of the vehicle. The reports indicated that he swerved across two lanes of traffic and slammed into a light pole.
Perkins and 22-year-old Danielle Pearson were killed in the violent collision. Pearson, who was 8 months pregnant at the time of the accident, also lost the fetus.
Three other people were injured in the accident. The couple's one-year-old child Natalie Perkins sustained minor injuries and was treated at Arnold Palmer Hospital.
Toni Rodgers, a 17-year-old passenger, sustained serious injuries and 21-year-old Timothy Gunter received minor injuries. Both were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Natalie Perkins was the only one wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. An investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
