Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Jason and his family moved to the Sunshine State in 1977. He is proud to have founded a law firm headquartered in the community of Plantation, Florida where he grew up and attended public schools. Assisting injured citizens and bereaved families is his life's work. "What I love about our work is we help injured people who don't know about the legal system," Attorney Chalik says.

"We fight for our clients to receive a financial settlement for their pain and suffering, and to catch them up on their medical bills and lost wages. At the end of a case, we can see how we've helped people. That's what's most gratifying for us."

Attorney Jason Chalik handles the full spectrum of personal injury claims and cases. He advocates for people who have been the victims of all kinds of motor vehicle accidents, including DUI accidents, commercial truck accidents, and pedestrian accidents. "We take our work very seriously," he says.

Even if a case has an appeal, Chalik & Chalik will handle it -- they do not outsource those cases to an appellate firm. It's that personal commitment that sets them aside from larger, more impersonal law firms.

Attorney Jason Chalik and his wife and business partner, Attorney Debi Chalik, founded the Law Offices of Chalik & Chalik in 2003. The firm's slogan, "Our family fighting for your family," expresses their personal and unwavering commitment to helping their clients get through adverse situations.

"We have three children of our own," Attorney Jason Chalik says. "We feel for people when something happens to their children." Birth injuries and other types of childhood injury cases such as swimming pool accidents and day care accidents, are cases the Chaliks -- as parents themselves -- take very seriously.

"Debi and I take everything personally. To us, it's not just a job. We don't stop thinking about our cases when we go home at night. I think that makes us better."

Jason became interested in law and justice at an early age. He attended American University on a full tennis scholarship and studied political science and justice. "I was fascinated by politics and the law, and anything to do with criminology, the prison systems, and courtrooms." While in Washington, D.C., he interned for CNN during the Persian Gulf War and later worked on Capitol Hill for a firm that did TV commercials for Senate races.

After graduating from University of Florida law school and passing the bar exam, Attorney Jason Chalik went to work for personal injury attorneys Rosen & Monaldi in Plantation, Florida. He later became a managing partner, and the firm became Rosen & Chalik. There, Jason and his spouse, Attorney Debi Chalik, first worked together as personal injury attorneys. When the founding partner retired, Jason took over the firm with Debi, and The Law Offices of Chalik & Chalik were established.

"Our names are on the firm," Jason says. "It's very important that everything about our firm represents our commitment to our clients."

"We have high standards in terms of our staff and how they speak to our clients. We want our name to mean we're excellent lawyers and we take a personal interest in every case. We will fight for our clients as if they were our own family."

In addition to handling all types of traffic accident injury cases, Attorneys Jason and Debi Chalik have successfully tried and settled slip/trip and fall cases, where a supermarket, hotel, or other establishment failed to keep the premises safe. They have gone to court on behalf of people who have been hurt or lost family members in swimming pool accidents and other types of recreational accidents, including boating accidents, watercraft accidents, and parasailing accidents.

Giving Back to the Community
Jason Chalik is the president of his synagogue, Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El in Plantation, where he donates his time to the organization and Jewish community life, as well as to mentoring youth. "It's important that my generation do its part," he told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel in an interview.

Both Attorneys Jason and Debi Chalik support local organizations benefiting youth. They recently donated laptops to a church's youth outreach education program, as well as school supplies to Broward County high schools. They both believe in giving back to the community, so that other students might have the same opportunities they did to receive a college education and enter rewarding careers.

Attorneys Jason and Debi Chalik live in South Florida. They have three children.
